Dear Friends & Neighbors:

For my entire life I have called the area made up of Forest Grove, Cornelius and Hillsboro my home.  In fact, my father moved here over sixty years ago to farm and raise his family.  My mother and father did a pretty good job raising thirteen children, including my four adopted brothers.  They not only instilled in us old-fashioned family values, but a deep love and respect for Oregon.  In fact, all thirteen of my siblings still call Oregon home.

Growing up in this community, attending our schools, working our fields, playing local sports and growing a thriving agriculture business all taught me the value of hard work and the value of a community that truly cares about each citizen.  Now I have the opportunity to take on a new challenge.

I am running to represent you in House District 29 at the Oregon Legislature.  I hope to draw on a lifetime of friends, neighbors, business associates, and community knowledge to make sure Forest Grove, Cornelius and Hillsboro are being represented in a way that reflects our shared values and goals.

Over the past few years, whether it be at our kids school and sports programs, at our church, or behind the counter at my family business, I’ve heard over and over again that people don’t feel represented in Salem.  In fact, it was a rare occasion when anyone could name our current state representative.  I hope to change that.

I now promise to take the experience of a lifetime of our shared history and represent each of you in Salem.  I will work as an open-minded, inclusive representative.  I will work to make you proud.  I hope you take a few minutes to look through my website.
