Jeff was born and raised in Cornelius. His father moved to the area in the 1940s where he and his wife raised thirteen children, including four adopted brothers. Jeff attended Forest Grove High School where he remembers playing football and generally having a great time. After attending Oregon State University for a year, Jeff had an opportunity to travel the world with money he saved while working on local farms. Jeff has visited over sixty countries worldwide.
After returning home, Jeff joined his father and one of his brothers to work on the family farm. Shortly thereafter Jeff took over the small family agriculture fertilizer business. Over the years Jeff grew the business from a small local operation to a multi-million dollar company. In 2007 Jeff sold the business and has since retired from active farming.
Jeff has been a member of the local Rotary organization for fifteen years. He is also a twenty-year member of both the Forest Grove Chamber of Commerce and the Cornelius Chamber, serving in past years as the latter’s president.
Jeff is married to Laura and together they have three children, Samantha, Brendan and Kendra. Jeff enjoys fishing, skiing, racquetball and recreational flying.
